COURSE OVERVIEW
Metaverse - An immersive digital space that allows for remote collaboration and innovation in diverse industries by simulating physical and often persistent environments.

Nvidia Omniverse Create - Yes, this is digital as well as a playable game demo
Unreal Engine Metaverse Foundations has been created to help those in industry to develop the skills needed to create immersive virtual environments that can be used for contextual reference and global collaboration.

Throughout this course, participants will engage in many hands-on projects to create various virtual worlds. While there will be many types of exercises, our focus is on the aerospace and automotive application of this technology.
The Unreal Engine editor is key to designing realistic environments.
You'll learn to create landscapes, structures, manipulate lighting, and add textures,

Unreal Engine Interface

From the Unreal Engine 5 Tech Demo
To help your learning and proficiency with the various tools, additional projects are also available outside of class to reinforce skills and explore concepts at your own pace.

Learn about ArchViz (Architectural Visualization) and how other software like Twinmotion that allows architects and designers to create real-time 3D renderings of their projects.

Twinmotion Interface

Model from our Blender Industrial Design Course
Learn how Blender 3D design software can be used to create and texture assets that can then be used inside the environments you design in Unreal Engine.

This, and other software are all a part of a fairly complex workflow or pipeline that you'll learn about as you work through the course projects.
All these software tools enable faster and more detailed design of your virtual environments.

Using these as collaborative elements, designers, architects, and other professionals can showcase their ideas and concepts with ease.

Omniverse Create Interface

Meta Quest 3 - This or similar used in class
With advancements in 3D design software, virtual and augmented reality technologies, the opportunities in the metaverse concept will continue to expand, providing new prospects for work, study, socialization, entertainment, and commerce.
And of course Artificial Intelligence is playing a part in this workflow. We'll use AI generated images in class as reference imagery for models or entire scenes.

VR Megahit Half-life Alyx
As these technologies continue to advance at staggering pace, the future achievements of even the next year seem incomprehensible.

Our fundamental goal is to help focus individuals that are interested in being a part of this emerging digital landscape.

The Pre-Registration List

To help ease the college registration for our CTECH students we've created a spreadsheet to hold students' place in class while they wait for classes to be scheduled, vouchers to be received, voucher access (I believe it's a month before class), or any other complication in the process. We can add you to the spreadsheet before you get a CTCLink ID, but you will need to have one eventually.
We'll reach out to you as we get closer to the class start date.

If you see a class you'd like to get in, you can contact us to be added to this spreadsheet.
You can also simply email me and I can add you as well.
